New Range for
Rehab Center!

Connect Foundation, through its network successfully sourced and secured a brand-new Cuisine Series 6 Burner Gas Range for a rehabilitation center in Missouri. This upgrade replaces their older residential range, providing them with a robust, commercial-grade solution to better serve their residents' needs.

The rehabilitation center focuses on supporting individuals recovering from substance abuse, providing not only treatment but also essential life skills in a safe and nurturing environment. This new range will enhance their kitchen operations, enabling the preparation of nutritious meals to support the health and well-being of their residents.

Connect Foundation Supports Emotional Growth for Children Camp in Ukraine.

From July 8 to 14, the Connect Foundation proudly funded a transformative camp in Kyiv, Ukraine, for 40 children and 12 adults. The camp provided a supportive environment for Socially disadvantaged children whose parents, or one parent, could not care for them and Children who lost their loved ones in the war.

The program, titled "House of Emotions," focused on fostering emotional intelligence and resilience, with particular attention to helping children process the grief and pain of losing loved ones in war. Through the program, participants explored the importance of experiencing a full range of emotions and learned healthy ways to navigate feelings of loss, sadness, and longing.

Each day was enriched with hands-on activities, including active games, intellectual challenges, water sports, and art therapy. These experiences provided a safe and nurturing space for children to not only express their emotions but also connect with others who share similar experiences, fostering a sense of community and support.

The Connect Foundation is honored to support initiatives like this, which bring healing, hope, and empowerment to children facing the profound challenges of loss and the ongoing impacts of war.

Creating Hope & Opportunities: Supporting Kenya’s Vulnerable Children

This year, Connect Foundation was honored to partner with KenHelp to support life-changing initiatives for vulnerable children in Kenya. Our work, in collaboration with Mary White—a remarkable leader who has dedicated her life to serving children in need—has been a testament to the power of hope, resilience, and community.

Mary, who played a pivotal role in helping us pilot the U4U Kids Program in 2023, returned to Kenya to continue her incredible work. Together, we have been able to make a meaningful impact on the lives of many children transitioning from orphanages into loving families.

Highlights of our efforts include:

  • Rehoming children into families: Helping children transition from the orphanage to stable, loving homes by providing essential home supplies and clothing to ensure they can settle in comfortably.
  • Once-in-a-lifetime experiences: Sponsoring a trip to the ocean and a safari for the entire orphanage, giving the children unforgettable memories of joy, wonder, and connection with nature.
  • Educational support: Supplying school essentials like books, uniforms, and materials to ensure these children have the tools they need for a bright future.
  • Basic necessities: Providing beds and household items for families who opened their homes to orphaned children, ensuring a stable and nurturing environment for their growth.

Through these initiatives, we’ve seen firsthand how even the smallest act of kindness can make an immeasurable difference in the lives of these children and their families. Mary White has been an unwavering force in this mission, continuing to inspire us with her passion and dedication.

The work we’ve accomplished with KenHelp wouldn’t have been possible without the collective support of our partners, donors, and community. Together, we are helping to create a world where every child can find love, safety, and hope for a brighter tomorrow.

Empowering Hope: A '24 Summer of Healing and Connection

This summer of 2024, the Connect Foundation proudly sponsored a transformative retreat for 54 children who tragically lost their fathers in the war. Organized in collaboration with the Ukrainian diaspora, these children were hosted across three cities: Cleveland, Federal Way, and Seattle, with each group consisting of 18 participants.

The program offered a unique opportunity for these children to find solace, joy, and connection through immersive activities, emotional support, and cultural exchange. Hosted by compassionate communities, the children experienced moments of healing and fun, surrounded by love and care from their extended Ukrainian family abroad.

We are grateful to the Ukrainian diaspora and the volunteers who made this program a reality. Together, we are providing hope and strength to these children as they navigate life’s challenges. Learn more about this impactful initiative at U4U Kids.

Supporting the Families
of Fallen Heroes: A Retreat
for Healing & Renewal

Connect Foundation proudly sponsored a heartfelt initiative to support widows and wives of fallen and mobilized soldiers from the Cherkasy region in Ukraine. The program, held from July 22 to July 30, 2024. Building on our earlier work with children, this event was organized in collaboration with Pastor Oleksandr Kovalenko, who regularly engages with and supports these women.

The 8-day retreat, held in a serene location near Warsaw, Poland, provided a safe and restorative environment for 20 participants. It offered a range of activities designed to nurture emotional well-being, foster connections, and help participants find moments of joy amidst their challenges. The peaceful eco-friendly setting, combined with professional psychological care and pastoral guidance, allowed these women to process their experiences and find renewed strength.

Accommodation was generously provided by the camp owners, while Connect Foundation covered transportation and other expenses for the program. This initiative reflects our commitment to supporting those who have endured great loss due to the war.

We are grateful to everyone who made this possible and look forward to continuing to bring hope and healing to those in need.
